Getting back to it

We were so excited in 2019 and the very beginning of 2020. We thought we had all the funding in place with investors for our community project. But covid had other plans.

It's ok- we are getting back into it. When the time is right, the right property, investors and builders will all come together.

Until then we are taking this time to come up with a more perfect plan and get our programs ready to be opened as soon as we can.

We are ready for the fun and fundraising! .

Stay tuned as we start to stock the store! We will be relying on volunteers, donations and our future residents to create beautiful items for the store. All proceeds will be going towards to future of the community and the programs offered by LH Education.

Why did we open LH Education?

rIt's really quite simple- as a parent of a special needs child becoming an adult, we are grossly aware of the lack of services available for our own child. And the huge gap in services for the "in between group"- Those young adults who aren't ready to be completely on their own, but those who aren't the ones who need group home assistance either.
So what kind of thing could we create to provide a future for our daughter?  To give her a chance to interact with friends, have some sense of independence while also giving her the ability to have safety.

That is where the creation of our neighborhood concept came from. We have building plans started and are currently looking for investors to help. It may be a long road, but we are prepared to make that journey for not only our child, but to change the future options for hundreds of other children too.
